Teaching E-Portfolio
I have had the great pleasure to teach art to people of all ages. I have taught at public schools from K-12 as well
having taught college classes in photography, sculpture and at the foundations level. I have worked with children
and adults in a variety of settings, including bilingual and special education classes. My teaching has also included at-risk, inner city youth mentorship in my own studio and as well as travel residencies in paper and book making
in New York Public School system.
My own work is interdisciplinary, a reflection of my knowledge and training in metals, photography, papermaking, painting, drawing, ceramics, and bookmaking. My digital work includes photography, graphics and two and three dimensional modeling. I balance teaching and a very productive studio practice. My consistent exploration of new ideas, materials and technologies allows me to bring a large range of experience and disciplines into my classroom teaching to the benefit of my students
This website is a teaching portfolio. It is a way to take the viewer through some of the work I have done with
students and to act as an introduction to my ideas about teaching art and how that is translated into the classroom. This is such an exciting time to teach and to make art, and I am very happy to share with you some of the work.
